The start of a new beginning

So yes we decided to go!

It all started in October 2023 when Gérald was approached by an Indian company for a new job. Various interviews followed, ending up in London for the final meeting and then a few weeks later Gérald received an offer that he could not refuse. So after a lot of discussions, he made the decision to accept this offer and us to emigrate to Bangalore, it was in December 2023. Gérald's contract starts in February 2024.
So here we are, this Friday we are leaving for India. Josephine and I are just visiting for a week and Gérald is leaving "for good" to start on Monday February 12, 2024 his new job. This decision was not easy to make but we felt like we were missing out on an incredible adventure if we refused. It is true that living in Bavaria in an extraordinarily beautiful and calm region and with an extraordinary quality of life, it is a little scary to leave for a country that we do not know and which, it must be admitted, impresses us as European. But we also feel ready to experience this great adventure and to meet this incredible country that is India. So, next week, we are going on a week-long visit to find a school for Josephine and a comfortable home to live in. I read that this city is so huge, dense, populated, and noisy that you absolutely have to find a calm and peaceful place to live, like an oasis in the heart of the city. This is what we will try to find. Then, Joséphine and I we return to Germany so that she can finish her school year and I can prepare our moving to India. And then, in July 2024, we are leaving Germany and settle in Bangalore. Marie and Juliette will come with us to spend the first month and then they will return to Europe, Juliette to start her master's degree and Marie for her work... This way the whole family will be in Bangalore together to start this beautiful adventure. We have always been a very united family and so this is important for us.
